I don't usually post about TV ads, but this Cisco Systems is pretty good.
They are right... "The World IS Waking Up."
Novelty & connectivity are the drivers of human progress. The development of language, writing, & printed books all led to revolutions in human knowledge.
Now, The Internet has led to an explosion of novel connectedness leading to innovations that will lead to completely new ways of doing things. Technology is connecting and augmenting us in ways that will lead to capabilities in just a few years that are unimaginable now.
Although very general, & not giving very specific predictions, this ad gives a good sense of the cognitive, social, and technological wonders that will continue to be developed in the future.
